LEGO Game

Like many other engineering students, I grew up playing with LEGO. A class partner and I saw an opportunity during an introductory EE lab class freshman year to make a project that combined LEGO and electronics, so we jumped at the opportunity to combine old with new.

The "LEGO Game" is played by trying to throw a small LEGO brick at the bullseye on the left. Upon hitting it, the sign starts a celebratory spin and a rubber band loaded arm throws a prize candy at the player. The game is controlled by an ATMEL development board and the winning condition is activated by a tilt-switch on the bullseye lever. A DC motor spins the sign and activates the mechanism that releases the prize candy.
